BLISS — the eraser that keeps something
BLISS (橡皮吉) is a joint piece with NAYICI (booth A051): an eraser-square form like an old desk paperweight, upper and lower shells cut from snakewood over a vintage-steel frame, running a guzheng-track internal mechanism. The character 吉 — good fortune — is engraved on the body; the makers describe it as a daily talisman rather than a fortune-telling piece: “using steel’s material to protect wood’s hope.”
The snakewood grain moves like clouds in water, and the makers lean into the material’s habit of warming and glossing with handling — the piece is meant to change in your pocket.
Titanium seasoning-pick — with PEL°
The second collab, with PEL° (booth A06), debuts a titanium seasoning-pick on a new silent track — pitched as playable “without casualties” in an office. Both faces carry watch-grade guilloché: a diamond cutter shaving V-section facets into the titanium so a flat surface reads as flowing wood-grain relief under light.
The studio
GD — from “GoodDesign”, founded 2022 — builds around the collision of wood and metal, folding traditional Chinese motifs and heritage craft into minimal EDC sliders and spinners; its 上上签 fortune-stick piece carries the house’s “luck philosophy”.
